1842 Holding's County Pottery was founded by James Holding. The original site was a short distance from Gaulkthorn near Oswaldwistle.

1860 James Holding moved the business to Broadfield.

1900 James' son Grimshaw Holding set up the pottery works on the present site.

c2010 Business was defunct.
