c1857 Born in Wigan the son of William Leech and his wife Elizabeth

1881 Living at Ellesmere Road, Pemberton: William Leach (age 58 born Haigh, Lancs), Coal Agent and Brass Founder employing 40 hands. With his wife Elizth. Leach (age 46 born Shropshire) and their six children; Marion Leach (age 18 born Wigan); Elizth. Leach (age 16 born Wigan); Edith Ellen Leach (age 15 born Wigan); Amy Leach (age 13 born Wigan); Elsie Leach (age 10 born Wigan); and Herbert Hy. Leach (age 23 born Wigan), Brass Foundry Manager.[1]
