Professor HENRY MORTON WAYSFORTH, born in London on the 19th December, 1867, died on the 5th November, 1916.
He served his practical training with Messrs. Bennett and Sons, engineers, of Kingsland, and subsequently became an assistant to Professor John Perry, at the Finsbury Technical College.
In 1891 he was appointed Demonstrator in Engineering at Mason College, Birmingham, and 5 years later he joined the engineering staff of King’s College, London.
In 1902 he was appointed Assistant Professor of Engineering, and in 1912 he became University Professor. He was for many years Chairman of Examiners for the Science (Engineering) degree, and did much valuable teaching work.
He was elected an Associate Member on the 11th April, 1893.
