Special knowledge of all kinds of electric cables, including loaded submarine and underground cables, and of electrical material generally. Translator of many scientific and technical papers from the Russian, German, Swedish and other languages for various journals and for official use; joint editor for some years of the journal of the Institution of Post Office Electrical Engineers.
