1897 February 22nd. Died, of Wyreside. Probate to Charles Henry Garnett, Robert Garnett and Stewart Garnett.
1897 Obituary. 'Mr. Henry Garnett, of Wyreside, who was Sheriff of Lancaster in 1880, died on Monday night. He was the third son of Robert Garnett, of Wyreside, and grandson of John Garnett, of Casterton, Kirkby Lonsdale. He was born January 16, 1314, and was therefore 83 years of age. He married in 1839 Harriet, daughter of Mr. Henry Potts, of Chester, by whom he had a large family. Deceased was High Sheriff of Lancashire in 1850, and was a Deputy-Lieutenant of the county. He was vice-president of the Lancaster Agricultural Society and a liberal subscriber to the Lancaster Infirmary. He is succeeded by his eldest son, Captain C. H. Garnett, J.P. Deceased was a Conservative'[3]
