Henry Foxton Craggs (c.1832-1915) of R. Craggs and Sons

c1832 Born Stockton, the son of Robert Craggs and his wife Elizabeth

1861 Timber merchant and ship builder [1]

1864 Eldest son Ernest Hall Craggs born

1871 Timber merchant and ship builder employing 35 men and 3 boys[2].

1877 Patent to Henry Foxton Craggs, of Middlesbro. in the county of York, Ship Builder, for the invention of "improvements in the construction and arrangement of decked vessels, more especially applicable for carrying timber and cotton, and in the arrangements for loading and unloading the same."[3]

1891 Iron and steel ship builder, living in Middlesbrough with his wife Isabella and 5 children [4]

1901 Iron ship builder; living in the house of his son Robert H. Craggs (mechanical engineer b.1872) and some of his other children (Emma age 36, George age 26, Piercey age 25), in Coatham, Yorkshire[5].

1911 Retired shipbuilder, living in Golders Green, London, widower[6]

1915 Died.
