1852 Born in Falmouth, son of Alfred Benjamin Duckham[1], a newspaper agent, and his wife Elizabeth[2]

1865-1870 Apprenticed to M. Olive, mathematical instrument maker of Falmouth

1870-2 Worked with his brother, Frederic Eliot Duckham, in the production and manufacture of the Hydrostatic Weighing Machine.

1871 Living at Commerce Place, Poplar: Fredk E. Duckham (age 29 born Falmouth), Civil Engineer. With his brother Heber Duckham (age 19 born Falmouth), Mechanical Engineer, and his father (a visitor) Alfred Duckham (age 61 born Falmouth), general Agent. One servant.[3]

1872-79 Manager of the East Ferry Road Engineering Works

1879-82 Designed and carried out the water supply works for a US city.

1881 Member of I Mech E, of 180 Lewisham Road, London, S.E.

1882 Married Susanna Palmer in Lewisham[4]

Carried out other US projects using his hydraulic engineering expertise

1890 Joined Institution of Civil Engineers as an Associate[5]

1911 Widower, Civil Engineer working on his own account, visited Southampton[6]

1926 Died in Coventry[7]
