1923 Private company incorporated[1]. R. E. Hattersley had purchased from the receiver of the United Brassfounders and Engineers the whole of the goodwill of the company, the assets, stocks, and the whole of the contents of the works at Halifax and Ormskirk, together with certain other assets.[2]
1936 Conversion to public company[3]
1953 A majority interest in Beck and Co, maker of meters, was acquired[4]
1961 Manufacturers of industrial valves, cocks and related fittings in gun metal, cast iron and cast steel for the control of steam, heating, oil, fire, water and air services. 1,000 employees. [5]
1966 Name changed to Hattersley Holdings
1968 Merger with Peglers; name was changed to Pegler-Hattersley[6].
