HARRY GEORGE CHRIST, born in London on the 11th January, 1868, served his apprenticeship with Messrs. Davis and Company, Engineers, of Poplar, and was subsequently employed for about 3 years in the drawing office of Messrs. Grafton and Company, of Bedford.
In 1891, he was appointed Demonstrator in Engineering at Dulwich College, where he remained until his death.
Amongst other scholastic successes, he gained in 1887 a Whitworth Scholarship, and 10 years later, he graduated in Science in the University of London, afterwards acting for the University as an examiner in Matriculation subjects.
He died at his residence in Dulwich on the 30th May, 1905, aged 37.
Mr. Christ was elected an Associate Member of the Institution on the 6th February, 1894.
