1870 Company established by George Drewery a Blacksmith in Queen Street

1882 Company owned by Alfred Drewery

1892 The name had changed to Drewery and Harper and described as Iron and Brass Founders

1900 Listed as Harper and Co

1903 They are listed as Harper, Phillips and Co

1900-1914 Designed a steam engine and sold a number

1921 Produced a steam seine

Later concentrated on ship work and the casting of propellers

1926 July 31st, Edwin B. Phillips chairman and late managing director died.
