Harold Parker Cuthbert (c1879-1928) of the Great Western Railway

HAROLD PARKER CUTHBERT entered the service of the Great Western Railway in 1893 as an apprentice at Swindon, and after further experience as a draughtsman he was appointed in 1900 an inspector of steel and ironwork in the engineering department at Paddington.
In 1917 he served as an inspecting officer under the Ministry of Munitions, and in 1918 took charge of one of the gun-steel sections at the head office of the Ministry at Sheffield, and was also for a short time in charge of the test room and machine shop.
In 1919 he returned to the service of the Great Western Railway.
His death occurred on 29th January 1928, in his fiftieth year.
He became an Associate Member of the Institution in 1907.
