Presumably connected with Robert Hammond, an early supplier of electricity generation systems and lighting.
1883 Ferranti, Thompson and Ince was wound up at the end of the year and its affairs amalgamated with the Hammond Electric Light and Power Supply Co[2].
1884 Various companies which had been wound up held their final meeting at the offices of this company in Finsbury - presumably indicative of the Hammond company having acquired their affairs[3]:

- Yorkshire Brush Electric Light and Power Co
- Birmingham and Warwickshire Brush Electric Light and Power Co
