H. W. Ward and Co of Lionel Street, Birmingham were makers of machine tools, especially lathes of all sorts.
1889 Company established.
1911 Manufacturer of Machine Tools for the Railways.[1]
1912 Decision to concentrate on the manufacture of capstan and turret lathes
1912 Four-Spindle Automatic Lathe. Acquired new factory in Bournbrook
1914 Equipped a complete factory for manufacture of motor cars[2]
Member of Associated British Machine Tool Makers.
1920 September. Exhibited at the Machine Tool and Engineering Exhibition at Olympia with a variety of lathes of capstan and turret types. [3]
