1969 Obituary [1]

Mr H. S. Broom MBE, BSc(Eng), (Fellow), a former director of Broom and Wade Ltd died recently.

Educated at the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe and the City and Guilds College, London Mr Broom began his apprenticeship with Broom and Wade in 1925.

Mr Broom, who was awarded an MBE in 1943, took a very active interest in Institution affairs. He joined the Institution as a Graduate in 1932, transferring to Associate Member in 1933 and Member in 1943.

His friendly and helpful advice will be sadly missed.
