Gould Steamships and Industrials

1919 Blair and Co was taken over by Gould Steamships and Industrials.

1920 Dulcia Steam Shipping Company Limited was amalgamated with Griffiths Lewis Steam Navigation Company Limited. A new Company, Gould Steamships & Industrials Ltd. was set up and acquired the assets and undertaking of the provious Company; W. T Gould was chairman of the meeting[1]

1920 The Gould Steamships and Industrials Company was created by the merger of Griffiths Lewis Steam Navigation Co Ltd and Dulcia Steam Shipping Co Ltd; J. C. Gould MP would be chairman; Walter T. Gould would be managing director; Captain John Evans Lewis would be assistant MD[2].

1920 James C. Gould and Walter T. Gould acquired a controlling interest in the Richardson, Duck and Co's yard.

1922 J.C. Gould was returned as MP for Cardiff Central; described as being one of the leading South Wales ship owners[3]

1924 Company reported a loss due to the 30-week shut down at Blair and Co and at Richardson, Duck and Co[4].

1925 Receivers were appointed to the company and its subsidiaries[5].

1926 Company wound-up[6].
