Gordon and Biddulph
May be connected with the Gordon family of Kemble, Gloucestershire; Biddulph family, of Hereford and Ledbury.
1804 Gordon, Biddulph and Stanley Hanks, from Lime Street, protested (to the Navy Board) about the impressment of their men, without whom they find it difficult to operate[1]
1808-1829 Gordon, Biddulph and Co., London, documents relating to shipment of anchors[2]
1809 Gordon and Biddulph, a London based company, took over the Bedlington Ironworks. It was during their term of ownership that Michael Longridge went to Bedlington.
1826/7 John Biddulph of Ledbury: notes in his papers included an entry for the 14th Januray: "This day my second son came of age, John is now a Partner in the House of Gordon and Biddulph of which he must very soon became the managing partner"[3].
