1885 May 13th. Born in Sutton, Surrey.

Educated at Eastbourne College

Apprenticed to the Wolseley Tool and Sheep Shearing Co

1910 Interested in aviation and connected with Hendon Aerodrome

1912 First contract with William Morris to sell their cars leads to the founding of Stewart and Ardern
