1939 Obituary [1]

"GERON LAGERHOLM specialized in the manufacture of matches, and became chief engineer of Messrs. J. John Masters and Company, Ltd., where he took an active part in the technical developments in the match industry, and made several valuable contributions to the perfection of the machinery employed for this purpose.

He was born at Jonkoping, Sweden, in 1878, and was apprenticed to Jonkopings Tandsticksfabrik in 1893. He subsequently remained with this organization, and in 1915 was appointed to take charge of the mechanical department which specialized in machinery for match-making. His connection with Messrs. Masters dated from 1919, and as chief engineer he had full charge of the works plant and machinery. Mr. Lagerholm was elected an Associate Member of the Institution in 1926."
