1925 Purchased The Bagnall Forge and Engineering Works at South Hylton, near Sunderland. Most of this plant was broken up for scrap, and dismantling. There was, however, a good deal of big machinery to be disposed of, as the products of the Bagnall works included shafting etc. for ships.[1]
