Some nine years later the engineering business was amalgamated with the ship-repairing business of H. C. Grayson, Ltd., under the title of Grayson, Rollo and Clover Docks, Ltd., and Mr. George Rollo ceased to take an active part in the business. He was well known in Lancashire and his death will be regretted by many friends. | |||

BRITISH shipowners and their marine engineers will learn with regret. of the death of Mr. George Rollo, the former head of the Liverpool engineering firm of David Rollo and Sons. Mr. Rollo, who died on Friday, August 2nd, at his home, ·The Park," Waterloo, Liverpool, was in his eighty-third year.
He was born in Glasgow, and was the eldest son of the late Mr. David Rollo, of Glasgow and Liverpool, who founded the Liverpool firm of David Rollo and Sons.
Mr. George Rollo served his apprenticeship as an engineer, and worked in Liverpool, Stockton-on-Tees, and in Glasgow, with various marine and general engineering firms.
