GEORGE PEARSON WALLIS. whose death occurred on 15th June 1943 in his eighty-fifth year, was elected a Member of the Institution in 1904. During the whole of his long professional career he was closely concerned with the design and testing of plant for flour mills, coke ovens, and brick companies, and travelled extensively in the interests of the firms by whom he was employed. He served his apprenticeship from 1875 to 1880 in the workshops and drawing office of the [[Wigan Coal and Iron Co|Wigan Coal and Iron Company], and gained further technical experience with [[J. Harrison Carter|Mr. J. Harrison Carter]], for whom he was engaged on the design and erection of flour mills, from 1880 to 1886.

GEORGE PEARSON WALLIS. whose death occurred on 15th June 1943 in his eighty-fifth year, was elected a Member of the Institution in 1904.
