1871 Living in Oldham, George Orme, (age 39 born Oldham), Gas Meter Maker employing 30 men and 29 boys. With his wife Mary Orme (age 44 born Devonport) and their three sons; Francis Heans Orme (age 10 born Oldham); George Edwards Orme (age 8 born Oldham); and Richard Henry Orme (age 6 born Oldham). One servant.[1]
