George Harris Handasyde

1908 Built his first aeroplane in North London
c.1908 Birth of his son Robert Handasyde, who went onto become a director of British Aircraft Corporation's, Weybridge Division[1]
1909 Joined with H. P. Martin to found Martin and Handasyde to build aeroplanes, specifically monoplanes at Brooklands
c.1921 Martinsyde closed
1922 Handasyde designed and rapidly constructed a glider in which F. P. Raynham achieved a winning duration flight at the Itford Hill competition[2]
Hartasyde designed and built a commercial monoplane
Early 1930s: Joined Desoutter Aircraft Co; adapted the Dutch Koolhaven monoplane for British use.
Joined the British Klemm Aeroplane Co and adapted the Klemm monoplane.
The company became British Aircraft Manufacturing Co; Handasyde designed the Eagle and Double Eagle variants of the Klemm
c.1939 he retired to Scotland
1958 Died at age of 81
