James H Garstang & Co of Bank Top Foundry, Blackburn, Lancashire

  • 1870 Horizontal steam pumping engine for Rylands and Sons, Gidlow and Swinley Collieries, Wigan. This was located at the bottom of the mine, and pumped at 325 psi water pressure.[2]
