Note: This is a sub-section of GKN

of Bromsgrove, manufacturer of grey iron castings for the automotive industry, malleable iron components for the auto industry, castings in aluminium, magnesium and bronze alloys for the aircraft and marine industries.

1967 By the end of the year, to accommodate the acquisition of the Birfield Group, GKN Forgings and Castings had been split into GKN Forgings and GKN Castings[1]

The main subsidiaries of this sub-group were:[2]

1971 C and B Smith was sold

1972 GKN Castings was renamed GKN Shotton[3]
