FREDERICK WILLIAM GODFREY, born on the 19th September, 1868, died at The Shack, Herne Bay, on the 8th August, 1912.
After gaining his early practical experience on the North British Railway, he was employed successively on the London extension of the Great Central Railway, Leicester Corporation Waterworks, and railways in South Australia, South Africa, Rhodesia and West Africa, whence he was invalided home.
Mr. Godfrey was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 7th December, 1897.
