c1827 Born at North Tawton

1851 Living at Commercial Road, Exeter: Alfred Bodley (age 60 born St. Kerrian, Exeter), Iron Founder and Engineer employing nine men. With his wife Mary Bodley (age 49 born St. Thomas, Exeter) and their son Owen A. Bodley (age 15 born St. Mary Steps, Exeter), Working Engineer. Also his nephew Sidney T. Bodley (age 16 born Wapping, Mddx.), Pattern Maker. Also an assistant Frederick H. Brock (age 22 born North Tawton), Working Engineer. One servant.[1].

1901 Living at 48 Commercial Road, Exeter: Frederick H. Brock (age 74 born North Tawton), mechanical Engineer and Single.[2]

1911 Living at 4 Magdalen Road, Exeter: Margaret Alice Bodley (age 53 born North Tawton), Widow living on private means. With her children Owen Colin Bodley (age 27 born Exeter), Mechanical Engineer; Alice Mary Bodley (age 25 born Exeter); Elsie Beatrice Bodley (age 24 born Exeter), Sick Nurse. Also a visitor Frederick Henry Brock (age 84 born North Tawton), Mechanical Engineer and Employer. One servant.[3]

1913 December 20th. Died. of Dunscombe, Magdelen Raod, age 87, of the firm Bodley Brothers and Co.[4]

1914 Will. Executors were Henry Campion and Owen Colin Bodley.[5]
