FREDERICK BROWN died on 8th August, 1913, at the age of 65 years.
He first entered business as a photographer, but later became manager of the Wednesbury and Wolverhampton district of the National Telephone Company, relinquishing that position in 1884 in order to devote his attention to the formation of the Walsall Electrical Company.
In 1892, when that business was converted into a limited liability company, he became managing director.
He also acted as consulting engineer to the Walsall Corporation in connection with their electric tramway installation.
He was elected an Associate of the Institution in 1887, and a Member in 1898.
