Frank Wilkinson (1896-1927) of F. Wilkinson and Co

1896 Born the son of Arthur Wilkinson, a commercial Clerk. Brother of Reginald Wilkinson

He developed a commercial method of acid polishing cut glassware, which used a mixture of hydrofloric and sulphuric acid and would take 5 minutes rather than several hours using old methods.

Frank caught pneumonia, his lungs were so badly damaged by the acid fumes, and died age 30.
