1912 Born Clay Cross, son of George Kenning (1880-1956) and his wife Catherine.

Educated at Mill Hill School; Christ's College, Cambridge (Mechanical Science Tripos).

1933 After graduating joined Kennings Ltd. as an apprentice

1935 Appointed General Service Manager, Kennings

1936 Purchasing executive, Kennings

1938 General Manager and Director, Kennings

1939 T.A.

1942 seconded to R.A.F.

Served in Holland and Germany with 2 Squadron 34 Wing 2nd T.A.F. before demobilisation in 1945.

1949 Appointed Vice-Chairman Midland Counties Motor Finance Co. Ltd.

1951 Director of Adamant Engineering Co. (Luton) Ltd. and of Marks Steering Co. Ltd.

Director of most of the Companies associated with the Kenning Group

1956 of Bakewell, died in Sheffield.
