1881 Francis George Pearce Walter Ellis was born in Sheffield, son of Walter and Harriet Ellis[1]

Frank was apprenticed at saw-making, where he met Thomas Flynn.

Frank was an ambitious apprentice. He took home extra saw sharpening work at night to earn extra money.

1934 Married in Sheffield[4]
