1904 Born the son of Francis Edward Wenger

1911 Living at Cliveden, High St, Wolstanton, Stoke On Trent: Francis Edward Wenger (age 30 born Shelton, Staffs.), Ceramic Colour Manufacturer - Employer. With his wife Katherine Maria Wenger (age 30 born Emdon, Staffs.) and their two sons Francis Charles Wenger (age 6 born Newcastle, Staffs.) and Henry Cecil Wenger (age 2 born Wolstanton, Staffs.). Married 7 years with 3 children of whom 2 are living. Also a visitor. Three servants.[1]

Francis Charles Wenger was born in 1904 and received his engineering education at Loughborough College, where he gained a diploma.

On leaving the college he took up a position with Rolls-Royce, but his promising career was cut short by a fatal road accident in France in March, 1928.

He was elected a Probationary Graduate of the Institution of Automobile Engineers in 1923.
