1940 Formed by Hubert H. P. Trist and Co to carry out carding and spinning for the production of asbestos yarns for brake linings

1967 Subsidiary of Trist, Draper Group[1].

1967 Associated company of BBA[2].

1969 Cape acquired the Trist, Draper group of companies,

c.1969 Cape Asbestos Co acquired BBA's 26 per cent shareholding in English Asbestos Co Ltd.
