1909. November. Empress Motor Car and Aviation Co., Ltd. — Capital £15,000, in £1 shares (5,000 6 per Cent, cumulative preference). Formed to acquire the business carried on by W. D. Korsdike at 180, Stockport Road, Manchester, as the Empress Motor Co.

1909 John Alcock was an apprentice at the Empress Motor Works[1]

1910 Exhibited several cars, an aeroplane rotary engine and a monoplane[2]

Empress Motor Works of Manchester (Stockport) built aeroplanes and rotary engines designed by the Works Manager, Charles Fletcher.
