Elijah Hibbert (1801–1846) founder of Hibbert, Platt and Sons

1822 Entered into partnership with Henry Platt

1834 Listed as 'Mr. Elijah Hibbert, Cowhill Lodge, Ironfounder'.[1]

1840 He states 'I am a partner in the firm of Hibbert and Platt, of Oldham, and a Magistrate of the Borough. Our firm employ from 200 to 300 men'.[2]

1846 March 10th. Died. Age 45 of Lyon House, Oldham. J.P.[3]
