1930 Born in Blackpool son of Edwin Richard Foden

1947 Joined E.R.F., Ltd., from school and went through various departments in the works

Attended North Stafford Technical College

1954 Mr E. P. Foden was deputy managing director of ERF at the time of the public flotation, although he was doing national service, having been given leave of absence by the company [1]

Served two years as a National Service Officer, R.E.M.E.

1950 Appointed a Director of the company on the death of his father

1956 Appointed Export Director and Assistant Managing Director, E.R.F., Ltd
