Post WWII Edward Webster was an engineer who approached Leonard Matchan at Max Factor (later at Revlon) with the idea that he could make metal containers for lipstick. He needed £1million investment. Matchan joined Webster in the business which grew and later was merged into Cope Allman and Co[1]
