1926 Obituary [1]
EDWARD PERCY SIMPSON, son of the late Mr. James Simpson, was born in London on 24th February 1865.
He was educated at Wellington College, and then proceeded to Magdalen College, Oxford, graduating in Arts in 1888.
He was called to the Bar in 1891, and joined as a partner the well-known engineering firm — Messrs. James Simpson and Company, Ltd., Pimlico, London — in the founding and continuance of which important business so many of his family had already been associated.
When this Company was reorganized in 1917, and combined with the Worthington Pump Co., Ltd., its title was changed to Worthington-Simpson, Ltd., with offices in Kingsway, London, and of this new corporation Mr. Simpson became a director.
He retained his connexion therewith up to the time of his death, which occurred on 12th August 1925, following an operation.
He joined this Institution in 1893, as an Associate, and became a Companion, on the formation of that class, in 1922.
