1891 Machinist and fitter, living in Aston with Rosena Hearl 24, Marce M Hearl 5, Alexander Hearl 3, Eugenie Hearl 1[1]

1892 Set up Hearl and Tonks

1901 Living at Lingfield, Anderton Park Road, Kings Norton: Edward H. Hearl (age 36 born Bristol), Cycle Manufacturer - Employer. With his wife Rosina Hearl (age 35 born Birmingham) and their four children; Marie R. Hearl (age 15 born Birmingham); Alexander Hearl (age 13 born Birmingham); Eugenie Hearl (age 11 born Birmingham); and Edward Hearl (age 9 born Birmingham). One servant.[2]

1907 Died in Solihull[3].

His son Edward went to work in a cycle tool room (1911).
