c1841 Born in Berlin

1871 Living at 4 New North Street, St George the Martyr, London (age 31 born Berlin), Toolmaker by Diploma. With his wife Louisa (age 25) and their un-named infant son aged 16 days. Also a nurse. [1]

1879 Patent for improvements in tricycles [2]

1881 Living at 1 Springall Street, Peckham (age 40 born Berlin, naturalised British subject), Civil Engineer and Patenter. With his wife Louisa (age 40 born Bristol) and their children Adolpha (age 10 born Holborn), Martha, Edith, Arthur, Maud, Edward and Emil. [3]

1886 May 25th. Became a naturalised British subject with his eight children

1891 Living at 6 York Grove, Peckham (age 48 born Berlin, naturalised British subject), Civil Engineer. With his wife Louisa (age 48 born Bristol). Also one servant and a lodger. [4]

1905 Q4. Death recorded in Wandsworth district [5]

1911 Louisa is a widow and living with her son Edward C. F. Otto (age 33 born Peckham) at 14 Tylecroft Road, Norbury [6]
