EDWARD AYERST DAVIES, born on the 20th February, 1878, was killed at West Wickham by the fall of a tree in the gale on the 30th September, 1911.
Trained under Mr. W. G. Walker, he was subsequently engaged under Mr. C. H. Merz on the electrification of a portion of the North Eastern Railway and on other work. In 1904 he entered Messrs. Siemens Brothers’ dynamo works, where he was employed at the date of his death.
Mr. Davies was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 7th April, 1903.
