EDGAR WILFRED DAVIES, whose death occurred on 19th April 1937, at the early age of 38, was lecturer in mechanical and electrical engineering at the Municipal Technical College, Bath. He was born in Llanelly, and received his technical education at Swansea Technical College. He served his apprenticeship from 1913 to 1920 at the Llanelly group of steel, tinplate, and general engineering works of [[Richard Thomas and Co|Messrs. Richard Thomas and Company, Ltd]]. This period included his active service during the War, when he was employed in the Army Engineering Workshops in Egypt. From 1920 to 1929 he was engaged by Messrs. Richard Thomas, first as an electrical fitter and then as engineer in charge of a shift. In addition, he was engaged as a part-time lecturer in engineering at Llanelly Technical School. He received his appointment at Bath in 1930. EDGAR WILFRED DAVIES, whose death occurred on 19th April 1937, at the early age of 38, was lecturer in mechanical and electrical engineering at the Municipal Technical College, Bath. He was born in Llanelly, and received his technical education at Swansea Technical College.
