1831 Mentioned. Earl, Horton and Co. [1]

1836 Moved to Rockingham Street and the works were known as the Hallamshire Works

1844 'Hallamshire Works, situate in Rockingham street, in Sheffield aforesaid, now in the occupation of Messrs. Charles Earl and Co'[2]

1858 Patent. 'Richard Smith, of the firm of Earl, Smith, and Company, Manufacturers, of Hallamshire Works, Pond-street, Sheffield, in the county of York'[3]
