1865 company founded as R. and J. Beck[1] which was later acquired by Ealing Corporation of America.

1985 Public company floated in the UK; parent company, Ealing Corporation of America, retained 42.5 percent of the equity[2]

1987 Abortive attempt to construct a shell company out of this entity in order to acquire other companies[3]

1988 Acquired by 600 Group to expand its laser business[4]
