Eustace Hargreaves Watson (1876- ) of Argylls and Argyll Motors

c1876 Born in Leeds the son of Hargreaves Watson, Corn Factor, and his wife Sarah Dixon

1902 Married in Huddersfield to Mary Armstrong

1905 Announces he is taking over the business of Wallis and Watson, electrical engineers, and is sole agent in Leeds and Mid-Yorkshire for Argyll Motors.[1]

1905 October. Advertisement for Argylls, London Ltd, shows him as chairman and managing director.[2]

1906 His automotive retail business for Argyll and Siddeley in Leeds is taken over by George and Jobling[3]

1907 Appointed director of Argyll Motors.[4]

1909 Described as motor engineer of Collingham Bridge.[5]

1911 Living at Stanmore, Finchley Road, Golders Green: Eustace Hargreaves Watson (age 34 born Leeds), Motor Car Engineer - Employer. With his wife Mary Watson (age 40 born Longtown, Cumb.) and their two children Norah Mary Watson (age 7 born Leeds) and Douglas Alexander Watson (age 4 born Stanmore). Married eight years with two children. One servant.[6]

1913-23 Listed as managing director of Studebaker.[7][8]

Later of Byrom Watson

1927 Listed as of The Priory, Mill Hill.[9]
