1880 Born in Kensington the son of James Grierson, manager on the GWR
1900 Ascended half-way up Ben Nevis with Hubert Egerton in a De Dion car.
1901 October. Ascended Ben Nevis on a Werner motorcycle.[1]
1901 'Another exploit took piece on Ben Nevis on Saturday, when Dudley Grierson, London, ascended that mountain a motor bicycle. He made the attempt from Fort-William on Friday afternoon, but owing to the tyres of the machine becoming punctured he only reached half-way House, at 2,000 feet. Leaving his machine there overnight, he returned Fort- William and walked to the hut on Saturday, and proceeded from there astride the bicycle...'[2]
