1960 Company formed when Rotol Airscrews and its subsidiary British Messier were merged with Dowty Equipment

1961 Manufacturers of aircraft accessory equipment, aircraft undercarriages, propellers, gearboxes, hydraulic systems and flying controls. 4,483 employees.[1]

1968 Queen's Award to Industry for Export Achievement

1968 The company introduced the first fibreglass propellers, which went on to see widespread use. Since then they have migrated to carbon fibre, and remain a leader in propeller design.
