c.1964 Digital Equipment Co of USA established an office in Reading, marketing their PDP range of computers, particularly for educational use[1]

1974 Introduced a computer graphics system known as the GT-44. It was intended to bridge the gap between table-top displays and more powerful graphics systems. Cost £17,800 which included software.[2]
