David Brown (c1843-1901) of David Brown and Sons

c1843 Born at Northowram, Halifax, the son of John Brown (c1813-<1851) and his wife Ellen (Mason?) (c1816- )

1851 Living at 28 Labour Street, Halifax: Ellen Brown (age 35 born Northowram), Widow and Bobbin Winder. With her four children; William Brown (age 15 born Northowram), Spinner; Rhoda Brown (age 13 born Northowram), Flower Setter; Charlotte Brown (age 11 born Northowram), Spinner; and David Brown (age 8 born Northowram). One lodger.[1]

1861 Living at 65 Green Lane, Halifax: Ellen Brown (age 45 born Halifax), Widow and Housekeeper. With her four children; William Brown (age 25 born Halifax), Warehouseman in a small ware manufactory; Rhoda Brown (age 22 born Halifax), ?? at Carpet Factory; Charlotte Brown (age 20 born Halifax), ?? at Carpet Factory; and David Brown (age 18 born Halifax), Pattern Maker.[2]

1867 October 31st. Married Mary Jane Matthews (1841-1908). Both of Huddersfield.[3]

1901 Died. David Brown, Pattern maker and gear cutter, passes away in his 59th year.[12]
