At the peak of production, they employed 9,000 men in the various metal and wood working trades - blacksmiths, boiler makers, brass and iron foundrymen, coppersmiths, coachbuilders, locomotive erectors, fitters, turners, pattern and template makers, as well as painters, draughtsmen, tracers and managers. 1903 The company was registered on May 2nd, to carry on the business of manufacturers of, dealers in, of electric cables. [2]

1937 Advert in British Industries Fair Catalogue as Maker of C.M.A. (Cable Makers' Association) Cables. Manufacturers of Electric Wires and Cables for all purposes. (Electricity: Industrial and Domestic Section - Stand No. Cb.501 and Cb.400) [3]

1937 Craigpark Electric Cable Co Ltd was acquired by other C.M.A. members; the Company continued in production. [4]

1938 Patent x 2 - Improved rubber-like compositions. [5]

1947 Was a member of the Cable Makers' Association[6]

1955 Company liquidated.[7]
